The Sniffles

Ethan caught his first cold this week. Not sure how he got it, but maybe from me as I'm still fighting my cold. Maybe we got it from the playarea in the mall. There were so many kids around. Who knows what virus is around! Anyways, Ethan is fine; he's a trooper. He is still active, but just a little less than before. Hope he feels better soon!

A New Perspective

Ethan can finally stand on his own without support...well for over 5 seconds! Yippeee! Another major milestone. He seems really proud of himself. His favorite friend, Little Piggy, was by his side at all times. Next will be taking a few steps! Slow down, boy!!

New Project

The backyard is a mess right now as it is being excavated for our new pool. If it is on schedule depending on the weather, the new pool should be completed in 3 weeks.

Musically Inclined?

It seems like Ethan enjoys music more than I thought. He moves along with the music in his own special way. Check out the video clip. Now, I just need to get him to clap his hands with the rhythm....

Teething

It looks like Ethan's upper teeth are coming in. He is drooling a lot as usual and is biting anything that he can get a hold of. With more teeth coming in, there will be more food to experience. He already chews on shredded cheddar cheese and loves it! He does well with cheerios and the puffs as well. He also likes tofu, porridge with chicken, carrots and peas. On top of all this, he gets the usual Gerber baby food. Wow, what a menu!

Ouch!

Well, Ethan had his first big booboo last weekend. He knocked himself on the forehead at the table edge at a restaurant while he was sitting in the high chair. He screamed and cried for about a minute (but it felt like forever) and he was fine. Phew! That wasn't so bad. Poor baby. I guess we learned not to put him too close to the table if the table height is high.

Sippy Cup No More!

Ethan has decided to skip the sippy cup and go straight to drinking water with a straw. Well, he doesn't do very well with the sippy cup since he chokes and coughs after a few sips. The straw seems to be working out for him, for the most part. Besides that he likes to play with the cup...another new toy!

Hope everyone had a nice Holiday Season. Well, it is 2008 and I've decided to start a blog, so I can share updates and photos with family and friends. Since we had Ethan back in March, we've had many stories and pictures, but didn't really have a chance to share with everyone. So, this is my attempt to keep everyone posted. So, enjoy!


Ethan had a busy 1st Christmas. He enjoyed opening presents and his new toys from many friends and family. He also took his first plane ride from Phoenix to Dallas and did great. He loved being in the Baby Bjorn carrier as he could see everything in front of him.


Another exciting news is he got to meet his cousin, Michaela, and the newest addition, Caitlyn, who was born on Dec 28, 2007. She is just precious! After this busy Holiday Season, it is time to take it easy (yeah, right!) and enjoy the New Year!
