Strike a Pose

I got Ethan a new pair of sunglasses since the one I got before was a little too big. He likes the old one better, but he still posed for me in his new shades. Too cool!

Have a Ball!

Ethan and Hayden are signed up for the "Have a Ball" class with the City of Chandler. It's a class for 2-year olds to run around with a soccer ball and learn to kick and throw the ball around. The boys seem to like it.

Ethan is getting pretty good at throwing the ball and catching the ball. He likes to play with his teacher in class. Maybe we will sign him up for a real soccer class when he is older.

Happy Father's Day!

Ethan made something special for daddy from daycare and he even greeted daddy with "Happy Father's Day" in the morning. Daddy was very proud and happy!

We celebrated Father's Day with a yummie dinner at Roy's at Chandler. Can't beat the chocolate souffle...Dinner was good, too. Daddy enjoyed it. Ethan actually ate a lot at dinner. He really liked the salmon and mashed potatoes. Of course the kid's dinner came with dessert - vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and strawberries. Yum!

Hayley was very good at dinner. She just woke up to get fed and then went right back to sleep, so we all could enjoy our dinner. I think I'm more comfortable going out to dinner with 2 kids. Maybe we will venture out more in the future....

My Baby Sister

Ethan has become a loving big brother over the past few weeks. He loves to kiss Hayley's toes and offer her the pacifier when she cries. But at times, he still likes to sit on her bouncer and the swing. Today he wanted to hold her which was sweet.

Swim Class "Graduation"

Ethan completed his swim class this week and is proud to show his completion certificate along with his buddy, Hayden. Great job boys!

2-Month Check-Up

Hayley had her 2-month check-up this week. She weighed in at 10lbs 11oz and measured 22 1/4 inches. She did great with her 4 shots and only cried for less than a minute! She has definitely filled up and is starting to get the chubby arms and thighs. She looks very different now from when she was first born. Her hair is starting to get longer, but is sticking up like a troll...funny looking, but cute. She is also starting to "talk" more and likes people around for company.

Bruises and Illness

When I picked up Ethan from daycare last week, he had an ear infection (his first ever) and a big bruise on his forehead. Apparently, he ran into the metal gate outside when another kid was opening it. Gosh, it is the biggest bruise/bump he got so far! Then he started having a runny nose and coughing which became worse at night. The doctor thinks he has the Croup virus. Poor thing. Hope he feels better soon!

Summer is Here!

We signed Ethan up for another swim lesson this summer with the City of Chandler. He did great last year. This time we practiced at home first to get him used to the water again. He was scared at first, but after the second time, he is back! Now, it is hard to get him out of the water! Ethan did pretty well in his first swim class even though the water was so cold and he was shivering so much when he got out. This time, his best buddy, Hayden, also joined the class, so he enjoys it even more!

8 Weeks Old

Well, time is going by too fast. Hayley is already 8 weeks old and I have another 2 more months before heading back to work. It has been a busy and hectic 8 weeks. After being really fussy at 6-7 weeks, she is finally back to her sweet self which we hope will continue! She is starting to smile and making cute baby coos and aahs noises. She has started getting the chubby cheeks, too...what do you think?
