Yogi and Bling?

Ethan found our collection of accumulated rubber bands and decided to wear them as bracelets. He is also starting to do yoga and I managed to capture this pose with his rubber band bracelets. Doesn't he look like a yogi master?

Hayley on the other hand is showing off her first bling from her grand aunt. Looks pretty nice, I must say.

Independence?

Not quite....Hayley is starting to try to hold her bottle when she eats. She still needs to hold a rattle without dropping it! Hayley definitely likes to have company and would fuss when she is left alone even in the bouncer or swing when she is not asleep. She "talks" a lot and is a lot of fun!

Juice Anyone?

Well, we finally broke down and bought ourselves a super powerful blender/food processor - the Vita-Mix 5200 - "The Finest Whole Food Machine...Ever". There was a roadshow at Costco this week and we were sold. We have heard of this and seen this at one of our friends home and we were like, wow, that is a big investment for a blender. Now, I guess we joined the club. The main reason for buying this is for Ethan really...since he does not eat vegetables, we figured he would drink the juice and it worked. The past 2 days, he had all his vegetables to make up for the many months he didn't consume vegetables - broccoli, yellow squash, carrots, celery, cabbage, red bell pepper, plus all the fruits like strawberries, grapes, oranges, apples, bananas, and kiwi. Now, I just need to play with it and try out different recipes. It is an awesome machine and it blends up all the fruits and vegetables (everything - stems, seeds, pulp, etc) and you don't even feel the gritty stuff that regular blenders leave. It can also be used as a food processor for making soups, sauces, etc. Ice cream/smoothies can also be made as well. I think I can open up my own Jamba Juice place :)

3 Months Old

Hayley is 3 months old and she is getting big. Her chubby thighs seem to be getting chubbier and her double chin and extra folds under her chin is getting difficult to wipe and wash. Her hair is still sticking up like a troll. Cute! She loves to smile in the morning when she wakes up and loves to have company. So, she likes to chit chat with people. She is also starting to want to roll over, but not quite there yet. I find her sleeping on her side many times. Ethan wants to hold Hayley more and more and he is getting better with her.

Road Trip

We decided to spend July 4th weekend in LA, so we drove out there. We survived the trip. Both kids did pretty well on the road and with my mom being in the backseat with them, it sure helped. Of course the DVD player was a plus! That kept Ethan entertained for a few hours. Also, we are so tired of all the kid's songs. I can hear them in my sleep!

The weather in LA was great and it was so nice to be away from the AZ heat for a few days. We enjoyed our time there and got to eat some yummie food.

Ethan was a great helper throughout the trip. He had to wheel the stroller and the luggage or else he would throw a fit!

Ethan also got to enjoy the Santa Monica beach a little. He was still a little afraid of the ocean, but seemed to get excited when the waves were coming in.
