Hayley is 18 Months Old!

Another milestone...Hayley is starting to look like a little girl instead of a baby. She made it to the 20lb mark and weighed in at 20.4lbs (3-10%) and measured 31 inches (25-50%). She is off the bottle and is well on her way to yummie foods. She loves to eat and would try anything. She also likes to eat on her own instead of being fed, but it gets rather messy. She also started her first music class (Kindermusik) at the City of Chandler and is enjoying it so far.

Hayley is 15 Months Old!

Hayley turned 15 months old and came down with a fever right before her well-child appointment. Looks like she caught a viral bug from Ethan. So, she escaped her 15-month shots for now. She weighed in at 18lbs 14.5oz (3%) and measured 30 inches (25-50%). So far she can say "Ba Ba", "Ta Ta", "Mum Mum" when she wants to eat, "Ni Ni" when she wants milk, "Hmmm" when she eats and a few other words we don't understand. She is starting to get into everything and loves to play with Ethan. Ethan is slowly playing better with her. So, it is nice to sit back and watch when they are playing together. Let's see how the next few months will go.

Guess Who Turns 1 Today?

Another milestone in the family - Hayley is 1 today! Wow! Where did the time go? I was just thinking about how tiny she was when she was just born. Now, she is walking, clapping and being more and more independent everyday. We took her in for her 1-year checkup and she weighed in at 17lbs 14.5oz (3-10%) and measured 27.75 inches (10-25%). She is "petite" according to the Doc, but she looks great!

Hayley is 9 Months Old!

Hayley is now 9 months old! Where did all the time go? Her checkup today went well; she weighed in at 16lbs 8.5oz (10-25%) and measured 26.5 inches (10-25%). She now has 2 bottom teeth, crawls everywhere, claps her hands and makes lots of sounds. She can also pull herself up and stand with support. She loves to eat and always has her eyes on our food. She also likes to play with Ethan and wants company. If we leave her in her crib or Pack N' Play, she would call for us. Now, let's see when she can start walking!

6-Month Check-up

Hayley is 6 months old already! She is now 14lbs 7oz (25%) and measured 25 3/4 inches (50%). She probably lost some weight due to catching the flu and her appetite has not been her usual. Fortunately, she pulled through quickly and is back to her old self! She even endured another 4 shots at her well-baby check-up. She is more interactive and loves to play. As soon as you go near her, she would kick her legs so fast, ready for you to pick her up. She is rolling over back and forth and can't quite crawl yet, but she does scoot backwards.

4-Month Check-Up

Hayley went for her 4-month check-up today and she did great! She is now 13lbs 3.5oz (50%) and measured 24 1/2 inches (50-75%). I can't believe how big she has gotten...where did the time go? She is starting to laugh and loves people around. She wants to be with us when we're having dinner and would fuss if we leave her by herself in her bassinet or swing. She also seems to like to sit in the Bumbo seat instead of lying down. I guess while sitting up, she can check out her surroundings.

3 Months Old

Hayley is 3 months old and she is getting big. Her chubby thighs seem to be getting chubbier and her double chin and extra folds under her chin is getting difficult to wipe and wash. Her hair is still sticking up like a troll. Cute! She loves to smile in the morning when she wakes up and loves to have company. So, she likes to chit chat with people. She is also starting to want to roll over, but not quite there yet. I find her sleeping on her side many times. Ethan wants to hold Hayley more and more and he is getting better with her.

2-Month Check-Up

Hayley had her 2-month check-up this week. She weighed in at 10lbs 11oz and measured 22 1/4 inches. She did great with her 4 shots and only cried for less than a minute! She has definitely filled up and is starting to get the chubby arms and thighs. She looks very different now from when she was first born. Her hair is starting to get longer, but is sticking up like a troll...funny looking, but cute. She is also starting to "talk" more and likes people around for company.

8 Weeks Old

Well, time is going by too fast. Hayley is already 8 weeks old and I have another 2 more months before heading back to work. It has been a busy and hectic 8 weeks. After being really fussy at 6-7 weeks, she is finally back to her sweet self which we hope will continue! She is starting to smile and making cute baby coos and aahs noises. She has started getting the chubby cheeks, too...what do you think?

1-Month Check-Up

Well, it is that time again for well-child visits to start for babies. Hayley had her 1-month visit at the Dr's and she did well. She weighed 7lbs 15oz and measured 20 inches. She has definitely grown! I guess I should stop buying newborn diapers soon and start switching to 3 months clothes. She also got her 2nd dose of Hep B shot and she was not happy. Maybe because she got a boring bandaid instead of those cartoon character ones.

Hayley is 3 Weeks Old!

Time flies...Hayley is now 3 weeks old and she is doing great. She is growing as she should since she seems to be eating all the time. When she is not asleep, she enjoys sitting in her bouncer and looks around.
