Homemade Granola Bars

I came across this homemade granola bars recipe and tried it. It is so easy that the kids can make it as well. I omitted the almonds, but will make a separate batch with nuts and other grains the next time. Tastes yummie!



Spring Break 2013 - Arizona Science Center

I was able to get a couple of free passes to the Arizona Science Center from the Chandler Public Library and we spent the morning and early afternoon there. The kids had fun and there is always something new to learn.

Rhythm of the Dance

I won some tickets from Intel's Great Place to Work program to the Rhythm of the Dance - The Irish Dance Spectacular at the Chandler Center of Arts. It was a great show and the kids even enjoyed the performances. Hayley was clapping and dancing with them most of the time even while she was holding her popcorn cup! It was so cute! I wish I could have captured it on camera!

Downtown Chandler's Farmers Market

I finally made it to the downtown Chandler Farmers Market which is on Thursdays from 3 to 7pm. It's not very big at all and I almost bought the whole place :) I got some tamales, relish, organic loose leaf teas, salsa, dessert, a couple of cute kids aprons with a chef hat and mitten and even lotion! The kids liked hanging out there and we will definitely stop by again.

Wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year 2013 - Year of the Snake!

We started the celebration with a family reunion dinner 團年飯 at home with seafood hotpot and then mom and mother-in-law made more yummie food on the first day of Chinese New Year (年初一).
