Happy Birthday Ethan!

Guess who turned 2 today? We started with the traditional sweet egg and noodles and then ended with a cute little chocolate cupcake for Ethan. He seemed to have enjoyed his cake a lot more this time than last year. He is also checking out his new toys and books.

Impressive Glass Work - Chihuly

We visited the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens and it was well worth it! The whole place has been transformed into an outdoor art gallery and we truly enjoyed it. If you do decide to check it out, go during the evening, so you can see the transition from day to night time. Beautiful!

Snooze

Ethan was so tired that he fell asleep while he was eating his lunch...one minute he was chewing and one minute he was asleep! It was so cute! Just had to take a picture! He must have been VERY tired....

First Day at Daycare

Ethan started his first day of Daycare today. He did great according to the teachers; he only got a little sad during nap time. Lee went to check on him twice and I called only once to check on him. We will see how he does on the second time we drop him off. I think he had fun, but he was hungry and thirsty when I picked him up after work. He drank his whole straw cup of water and ate a bag of crackers on the way home! I guess we all survived this first day!

Vegan anyone?

The girls and I celebrated my upcoming baby at Mandala Tearoom in Old Town Scottsdale. It is an urban tearoom with an organic vegetarian kitchen. There is also a huge tea selection. It was a fun afternoon. The food was a little too healthy for us, but nonetheless we enjoyed it. We definitely learned some new things from the menu. I enjoyed my dish of Mandala Masala made with organic garbanzo beans, potatoes, onions and tomatoes stewed to perfection with traditional Indian spices-served with brown rice and sautéed garlic spinach. Can't get any healthier than that! The girls also got the baby lots of cute clothes! Baby girl clothes are definitely more fun! Thanks everyone!

New Car Seat

Ethan got a new car seat today. We settled with the Sunshine Kids Radian65 Convertible Car Seat. It was recommended by our friends, Jennifer/Allen. It is compact and sturdy and Ethan seems to like it. He definitely looks comfortable in it. Doesn't he look like a big kid now? No more baby Ethan....

Chatting on the Phone

Ethan seems to enjoy "talking" on the phone. We have no idea what he is saying, but it must be something funny....
